Abstract
Acute myocardial infarction is a frequent manifestation and is associated with high mortality and morbidity rates. Minimizing the time between the onset of symptoms and myocardial reperfusion is key to successful treatment. Pre-hospital medical treatment is associated with improved clinical outcomes.
